Fourth year of beneficial Tomas Golf Cup was held on 12th of July. The profit - 20.000 crowns will serve to handicapped athlete Tomáš Ležoň.

The Čadík Brothers and their Traveling Movie Theater will help the Barriers Account for third time. The "cinematographic caravan" has been travelling the Czech Republic since 1998. During the last 2 years they donated from entrance fees 1.300.000 CZK to the Barriers Account. They start on 1st of July and finish 30th of August and will visit 40 places in the Czech Republic.

Thanks to the Barriers Account and Municipality of Havlíčkův Brod will Filip Čejka, heavily handicapped boy, obtain a new specially modified car VW Caddy.  

Ogilvy PR, a partner for public relations of Barriers Account, became the most successfull PR agency for third time.
It won 4 golden medals of the Czech prize for PR.

Josef Vavroušek Prize for Adri van Westerop (in memoriam) a Raymond Aendekerk and Vladimír Buřt. In 1996, the Charta 77 Foundation created the JV Prize in commemoration of our leading ecologist and Czech representative and standard bearer of the idea of sustainable development of global format, who tragically died in 1995. The prize shows what an important role an individual person can play in protecting the environment or implementing the concept of sustainable development.

The BARRIERS Account will give one million Crowns for handicapped people who were affected by flood in May 2010. This money is destined for organizations that care about handicapped from flooded areas as well.

The BARRIERS Account divided 3.167.000 Crown among 121 applicants in May. The resources from Foundation investment fund are included in this amount.  

Foundation Charter 77 conveyed František Kriegel Prize to dr. Alena Dernerová and Tom Stoppard Prize to Petr Rezek.

The Board of BARRIERS Account divided 1. 800. 000 crowns in half of April among 113 applicants.

Dr. Alena Dernerová, neurologist and politician from west Bohemia, was awarded František Kriegel Prize for 2010. The František Kriegel Prize was created in 1987 in Stockholm. The current mission of the prize is to publicize acts of courage of individuals during the previous year carried out in the interest of protecting human rights, civil liberties, and political tolerance.
