Fund Globus

The Barriers Account and GLOBUS commenced their joint project in September 2002. Since then, all customers of the nationwide GLOBUS hypermarket chain may contribute to the charity project selected by the company’s management almost 5 years ago. For each plastic bag bought at the checkout of any of the 11 megastores of GLOBUS, one crown goes to the Barriers Account. After the first two years, during which both partners were in search of a suitable project, we agreed with the company to devote the monies in the GLOBUS fund to a project called Cars without Barriers.
We organized a tender for the manufacturer of wheelchair-friendly capacious cars, which was won by FIAT, who offered the Foundation the most favorable terms, a 27.5% discount on nine-seat FIAT Ducato automobiles, and excellent outfit, including an engine-independent heating in the back of the car, among other things.
Project partners are K&K PNEU – who donate a set of winter tires for each car, Defend Group – who equip each car with an anti-theft system and Česká podnikatelská pojišťovna, who provide insurance for the cars.
