Jaroslav Seifert Prize
The Jaroslav Seifert Prize was created by the Charta 77 Foundation in Stockholm in January 1986. This prize for literature is awarded for an excellent work of poetry or fiction published (or otherwise made public) in the past three years in the Czech Republic or abroad. The laureate is announced on September 22 each year, on the eve of the great poet’s birthday anniversary.

František Kriegel Prize
The František Kriegel Prize was created in 1987 in Stockholm. It is awarded on April 10 each year, on occasion of the birthday of František Kriegel. The current mission of the prize is to publicize acts of courage of individuals during the previous year carried out in the interest of protecting human rights, civil liberties, and political tolerance.

Josef Vavroušek Prize
In 1996, the Charta 77 Foundation created the Josef Vavroušek Prize in commemoration of our leading ecologist, former Minister of Environmental Affairs, and Czech representative and standard bearer of the idea of sustainable development of global format, who tragically died in 1995.
Since 2004, the Charta 77 Foundation has been co-awarding this prize alongside the Foundation “Partnerství” (Partnership). Both foundations want the prize to gain a stronger media presence and show, by way of positive examples, what an important role an individual person can play in protecting the environment or implementing the concept of sustainable development.
